SYSTEM OF CONTROL FOR HOVERCRAFT

A hovercraft has means for forming and maintaining a cushion of air beneath the structure of the craft to support it above a land or water surface, and means for propelling the craft in a forward direction when so supported. Differentially operable aileron like flaps are arranged to exert a selective tilting moment on the craft about its longitudinal axis during forward motion. This enables a more positive control. The invention has particular applicability to light hovercraft.
