PURPOSE:To raise the stability of colored images against plasticizers, by a method; in which a sulfonyldiphenol compound is used as an acid substance to be added to a heat-sensitive layer and a layer composed primarily of a water- soluble resin is provided on the heat-sensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:A heat-sensitive paint consisting of a color former (e.g., a triphenylmethane leuco compound), 100-500pts.wt. (based on said color former) sulfonyldiphenol compound (e.g., 4,4'-sulfonyldiphenol or 3,3'-dichloro-4,4'-sulfonyldiphenol), and a binder (e.g., polyvinyl alcohol or casein), is applied on a base (e.g., wood-free paper or plastic sheet) to form a heat-sensitive layer. Then, on the heat-sensitive layer, an overcoat containing a water-soluble resin (e.g., polyvinyl alcohol or casein) as a main component, together with, as needed, a fatty acid metal salt (e.g., zinc stearate) is provided. Thus, an objective heat- sensitive recording material is obtained. |
