摘要 PURPOSE:To enalbe the purge of inflammable gas included in the system required in case of operation stop to be advanced in parallel with the protective procedure of catalyst or the like, by installing a cut-off valve, an inert gas feed-valve and a vent- valve so that the piping system can be divided into plural parts. CONSTITUTION:In a fuel reforming converting system which includes an reforming device 30 between a cut-off valve 104 and a cut-off valve 109, a carbon monoxide converter 40, a steam-water separator 49 and a reservoir tank 50; a cut-off valve 105 and a vent valve 200 are opened and the inside of this system is purged by steam, next the cut-off valve 105 is closed, then N2 (nitrogen) is fed from an N2 feed valve 211 into this system. In this system including the fuel chamber 11 of a fuel battery between a cut-off valve 108 and a cut-off valve 110, N2 is fed from an N2 feed-valve 207 and exhausted from a vent-valve 208. In the system which feeds the fuel exhaust gas from the fuel cell between cut-off valves 109 and 110 and cut-off valves 111 and 114 to a reformer burner, N2 is fed from an N2 feed-valve 205 and exhausted from a vent-valve 206. In order to decrease the thermal shock and protect the catalyst, the fuel reforming system can carry out the steam purge apart from other system, by conducting the systematic division as described the above.
