PURPOSE:To keep an injection amount at proper value even upon an abnormal operating condition by a method wherein the injection amount is controlled by a set value or the control of the injection amount is switched into an open loop control even under the abnormal operating condition. CONSTITUTION:Signals from the group 1a-1h of detectors for various operating conditions of the engine for vehicles or the like are received by a central processing unit 2, an objective injection amount is calculatd and is outputted into a D/A converter 11 to control a positioning servo circuit 4, correcting the difference between the objective injection amount, and monitor the operating amount of an accelerating pedal as well as the actural injection amount. When the unit 2 has decided that the operating amount of the accelerating pedal is abnormal by the signal from the senser 1f, the input value of the senser 1f is replaced with a set opening and is fixed to move to a next step, on the other hand, when the unit 2 has dicided that the actual injection amount is abnormal by the signal from a spill position senser 1b, the control of the fuel injection amount is switched into the open loop control, the feedback of a circuit 4 is stopped and a loop injection amount commanding voltage is calculated to control. |
