PURPOSE:To make fuel gas distribution uniform to prevent turning flow by supplying fuel gas in a vertical direction to a stacked cell main body comprising unit cells and exhausting it from the lower part of the stacked cell. CONSTITUTION:A unit cell 7 consists of an anode 3a, an electrode layer 1, and a cathode 3b. The unit cells 7 are stacked to form a stacked cell main body 8. Fuel gas is supplied from a fuel gas inlet manifold 13a and passed in a vertical y-y direction through the groove 5a of the anode 3a, then exhausted from a fuel gas outlet manifold 13b. Similarly, oxidizing agent gas is supplied to the cell main body 8 in a horizontal x-x direction and exhausted. Thereby, fuel gas flow distribution is made uniform through the cell main body and turning flow caused by hydrogen evolution which is the factor of uneven flow is prevented. Oxidizing agent gas flow distribution is also made uniform because the influence of hydrostatic pressure is small. |
