In the frame (A) of seating furniture which can be converted to lying furniture there is a pull-out part (B) which can be pulled out forwards. The pull-out part has a lid (11) and an extension plate (12), provided with feet (16), is mounted inside the pull-out part so that it can be pivoted out. When the extension plate (12) has been pivoted out and the lid (11) has been closed, the seat cushion (3) and a back cushion are placed on the plate (12) and the lid (11). Although only one pull-out part is provided in this arrangement, an adequate lying length is achieved in the lying furniture with small dimensions of the seating furniture. <IMAGE>
