<p>PURPOSE:To separate transfer paper stably by allowing a rake surface for separation to cross the tip of a fixing and separating pawl at an adequate rake angle for the separation of transfer paper from the peripheral surface of a fixing roller in contact with the fixing roller. CONSTITUTION:A guide shaft 5 provided in parallel to the axial line of a fixing roller 1 has horizontal milling cutter surfaces 51 and 52 in parallel at an upper and a lower side. A separating pawl 10 is provided with a guide slit 13 which has a couple of upper and lower guide surfaces 11 and 12 matching with the interval between said surfaces 51 and 52, and it is engaged with the guide shaft 5 in a free sliding state. A pin 6 fixed at the opposite end of a fixing pawl 10 to the pawl edge 14, and a tension spring 7 is extended between the guide shaft 5 and pin 6; and the pawl edge 14 of the fixing and separating pawl 10 is pressed against the peripheral surface of the fixing roller 1 with adequate pressing force invariably, and the contact surface 15 of the separating pawl 10 is in the cut-line direction of the fixing roller 1. Then, the rake surface 16 of the separating pawl 10 and the peripheral surface of the fixing roller 1 cross mutually at an adequate rake angle gamma for the separation of transfer paper.</p> |
