PURPOSE:To facilitate the operation of a timer by a method wherein the display and setting of a timer time are performed by touching display segments necessitated for display of a set time by fingers. CONSTITUTION:Sixty display segments formed of LCD or ECD are arranged in lines of inside segments 6-1... and outside segments 4-1-4-60 along the circumferential direction, and usually, a time is displayed in analog. Furthermore, sixty transparent touch switches are arranged in positions corresponding to the outside display segments 4-1-4-60. When a time is set for a timer, all the outside display segments 4-1-4-60 are lighted, while the inside display segments 6-1... are all extinguished. When the touch switches are touched sequentially from the one on the outside display segment 4-1 thereafter, the inside display segments 6-1 are lighted sequentially therewith, and thus setting of the time for the timer is conducted. In the state that the timer is operated, the inside display segments 6-1-6-25 are extinguished sequentially, displaying a remaining time. |
