PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of desilvering performance with age by incorporating a compd. which can fix gaseous formalins by reacting therewith and bleach accelerator release type coupler into a photograph constituting layer. CONSTITUTION:The photograph constituting layer of a silver halide color photosensitive material contains the compd. which can fix the gaseous formalins by reacting therewith and the bleach accelerator release type coupler. The bleach accelerator release type coupler is expressed by the general formula [B]. Cp denotes a residual coupler group which can make coupling reaction with the oxidant of a color developing agent, TIME denotes a timing group, R1 denotes a bivalent aliphat. group, etc. of 1-8C, R2 denotes a water soluble group or the precursor thereof. The generation of the deterioration in photographic performance such as decrease in color forming density and increase in fogging is thereby obviated even if the photosensitive material has the chance of contacting the gaseous formalins for a long period of time during the period of preservation before the color developing process. |
