PURPOSE:To perform an accurate measurement, by providing a circuit, which expands the detection signal of a step sensor by a certain time, besides the step sensor which detects vertical movements and a counter part which counts the detection signal of the step sensor and switching the expansion time of this circuit by the user. CONSTITUTION:The output of a step sensor 1 consisting of a pendulum 11, a spring 12, a magnet 13, and a reed switch 14 is led to a signal expanding circuit 2. In the signal expanding circuit 2, the cathode of a diode D which has the anode connected to the reed switch 14 is grounded through a capacitor C and is connected to one of resistances R1 and R2 grounded by a changeover switch SW. The inclination of the discharge curve of the capacitor C of an integrating circuit consisting of the resistance R1 or R2 and the capacity C is switched to adjust turn-on and off of a transistor Tr1 in accordance with vertical movements of the body for walking and running. The number of vertical movements is counted in a counter 3 through a transistor Tr2 and is displayed on a part 4. Thus, the miscount due to shaking is prevented. |
