PURPOSE:To provide a new compound obtained from a fine alga and useful for pancreatitis therapeutic medicines, anti-inflammatory medicines, clinical examination medicines, medicines for diseases accompanied by circulatory failures and organ function failures, etc. CONSTITUTION:The compound of the formula, mol.wt.: 986; amino acid ratio: Lys:val:Glu:Thr:Leu:N-Metyr=1.02:0.99:0.97:1.01:1:0.98. The compound is obtained e.g. as follows: culturing a blue green alga, Miclocystis aeruginosa, in a MA medium with aeration, obtaining a lyophilized product from the culture solution, extracting the lyophilized product with 80% methanol, vacuum-concentrating the extraction product, and subsequently subjecting the residue to a chromatography such as ion exchange chromatography or reverse phase column chromatography. |
