The sliding support consists of a fixed component (5) attached to the static support and a sliding component (4) attached to the moving structure such as a pipe subject to expansion and contraction. The surfaces in contact (6,17) have sprayed metal coatings (8,9). The coatings are dissimilar and may consist of a molybdenum alloy on the sliding surface. After spraying the surfaces are machined and polished to obtain a low coefficient of friction. |
