PURPOSE:To prevent wire from breaking at both parts when re-processing in such a way that a controller to change processing condition is provided on the captioned processing equipment, and when breaking the wire, the processing condition for the determined time is conditioned so as to hardly produce breaking of wire. CONSTITUTION:A wire 16 is fitted on XY table 10, and wire cut electric discharge processing is performed by means of a wire electrode 18. During processing when the wire electrode 18 is broken, a wire breaking detector 36 transmits detecting signals to a controller 34. The controller 34 stops the power source 32 and motors 14X, 14Y by means of detecting signals forthwith, and simultaneously applied voltage at the time of breaking the wire electrode, processing condition of current, etc. are memorized in a memory unit 38. Then, a wire electrode is tensed again by means of an automatic wire feeding device 40, and after the processing condition is changed to hardly produce the breaking of wire, processing is resumed. After resuming the processing, in proportion as the electric discharge is stabilized, the processing condition is gradually changed to bring it near to the steady-state condition memorized in the memory unit 38. |
