PURPOSE:To obtain a deflection effect with a wide angle and a small fluid resistance on two jet streams, by arranging a deflecting apparatus downstream of an air passage outlet for dividing a air current into the two jet streams, in which adhesion side walls and a rotatable control plate are provided downstream of the air outlet. CONSTITUTION:In an apparatus 9 for deflecting the air flow at the outlet of an air passage 1, a rotatable control plate 2 is provided for dividing the jet flow from air passage 1, and further side walls 3, 4 for directing the divided jet streams at desired deflected angles extend from the air passage 1. According to this arrangement, the divided jet streams generate low pressure regions 10, 11 along the side walls 3, 4 and divided jet streams. The apparatus 9 can for example be provided in the upper part of the steering column 6 of an automobile together with a heater 7 and a blower 8, and in this case a knob 12 for rotating is attached to a control plate 2'. By operating this dial 12, warming one's face or hands holding the steering wheel become possible. |
