PURPOSE:To improve impact resistance and to reduce weight by bonding lenses to an upper rim part through bonded elastic bodies, and further bonding the lenses to the elastic bodies with adhesives. CONSTITUTION:Elastic bodies 3 are either bonded with adhesives or stuck by a mechanical means to at least part of the internal circumferential surface of the upper rim part 2 of a spectacles frame 1. Then, the upper flank of the external circumference flank of a lens 4 is bonded to the lower flank of said elastic body 3 with an adhesive. Consequently, the lens 4 is stuck to the upper rim part 2 of the frame through the elastic body 3. In another way, after the elastic body 3 is bonded to the upper side part of the external circumferential flank of the lens 4 with an adhesive, the elastic body 3 is bonded or fixed mechanically to the upper rim part 2. For increased bonding strength, the bonding surface may be roughened or slanted. |
