Pharmaceutical sustained-release preparation of Naftidrofuryl, characterized in that the Naftidrofuryl or its therapeutically acceptable organic or mineral salts are included in a hydrophobic matrix consisting of sorbitol and glycerol palmito stearate representing 15 to 30 percent by weight of Naftidrofuryl and of a polymer insoluble in water of the class of the alkyl celluloses representing 5 to 15 percent by weight of Naftidrofuryl.
