PURPOSE:To provide a highly accurate and reliable insert molding die, with which an insert can be kept exactly normal to a cavity at all times. CONSTITUTION:A tapered fitting hole 7 is provided in a movable mold 2, between which and a stationary mold 1 a cavity C is formed. In addition, the fitting hole 7 and the cavity C are communicated with each other through an insert inserting hole 9. An insert 5 is grasped by a collet 10, which fits under closely contact to the fitting hole 7. By advancing and retreating the collet 10 with a driving means consisting of a piston member 12 utilized with compressed air, an advancing air chamber 13 and a retreating air chamber 15, the insert 5 is grasped and released. Under the constitution just mentioned above, the intrusion of the resin charged in the cavity C into split grooves of the collet 10 can be checked at the portion of the insert inserting hole 9. Thus, by the collet 10, the insert 5 can be exactly kept normal to the cavity C at all times. |
