PURPOSE:To enable to discriminate the details of a pattern, by discriminating in taking into consideration that the resolution of the collation for the center and circumference of collated and standard patterns can be equal. CONSTITUTION:In a seal print collator collating through the comparison between the standard pattern and a seal print pattern to be collated inputted from a picture input device, from a collated seal print pattern stored in a storage circuit 1 and the standard pattern registrated in an original file 4, the center of both the patterns is taken as reference, and concentrical rings sampled so that the sample density is equal at the center and the circumference correspoding to the position of the center are sequentially picked up at a one ring pickup circuit 3, and detailed discrimination is made in each ring unit at a one ring collation circuit 5, and the overall discrimination and the result of detailed check are made at an overall discrimination circuit 6. |
