PURPOSE:To provide replaceability of fluorescent lamp with a candescent and to enhance the lamp efficiency by making the tube of glass in the form double bent, by setting its outside diameter in a specific extent, and by covering the inner surface with rare earth fluorescent substance. CONSTITUTION:A U-shaped glass tube of 4-16mm. in outside diameter is again bent into a double bent U shape, in such a way that its both ends is perpendicular to the plane including the U-shaped glass tube as original, to form a fluorescent lamp 7, in which the inner surface shall be covered with a rare earth fluorescent substance 9 and rare gases are encapsulated together with quicksilver. This shall be accommodated in a globe 12, which is fitted with a base 15 so as to be replaceable with a candescent lamp. According to this construction, the incorporation of rare earth fluorescent substance 9 and an appropriate choice of the tube diameter can enhance the lamp efficiency as well as the U- shaped glass tube molded, covered with fluorescent substance 9, and again bent can prevent drop of its mechanical strength. |
