The invention relates to a discharging device having tips (14) which produce corona discharges, in the case of which device an electrical insulator (8), which contains a high-voltage cable (12) with an insulating sheath (19), is arranged in an outer metal opposing electrode in the form of a groove, and wire helixes (13) having radially bent tips (14) are drawn onto the insulating sheath (19) of the high-voltage cable (12), which wire helixes (13), as electrodes which are capacitively coupled with the high-voltage cable (12), rest at mutually separated intervals in the opening region of the opposing electrode which is in the form of a groove. In order also to be able to use such a discharging device for discharging objects which are not flat, for example items in the form of hoses or strands, it is provided according to the invention that the opposing electrode in the form of a groove consists of at least two curved arc-shaped parts (1, 2) which are connected by articulated shafts (3, 4) such that they can fold, and in that a correspondingly curved insulator (8), which contains the high-voltage cable (12) with the wire helixes (13), is arranged in each arc-shaped part (1, 2) in such a manner that the tips (14) of the wire helixes (13) point towards the centre of curvature of the arc-shaped parts (1, 2). <IMAGE>
