Compounds are disclosed of general formula (I): The compounds may in general be prepared by a condensation reaction or where R<1> represents an amino group by reduction of the corresponding compound where R<1> represents a nitro group. The compounds are described as having anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity as well as good therapeutic indices.
