PURPOSE:To economically construct a large-size caisson by a method in which parts for the caisson are built on a floating dock and put on a large-size floating dock after launched, and a given size of a caisson is fabricated there. CONSTITUTION:In the first place, on a small-size floating dock (F/D) 2 moored to a caisson-manufacturing yard previously provided, a small-size caisson 1 as the lower part of a large-size caisson is manufactured. Then, the F/D 2 is towed to a caisson-changing plate and water is charged into the dock to sink it under water, whereby the caisson 1 is launched. Then, after the caisson 1 is towed onto a large-size F/D 4 sunk previously in the changing place, the caisson 1 is received on the F/D 4 by floating it up, and the F/D 4 is towed to a caisson- manufacturing yard. Afterwards, given size of a caisson 6 is manufactured on the caisson 1, and the completed caisson towed to a construction site on the F/D 4. |
