<p>The steering wheel for a vehicle has an outer rim (1) connected to the steering column via an arm (4), formed as an integral frame. The frame can be partially made of plastics which is injection moulded. The frame can have a metal insert in the hub to reinforce the connection to the steering column, and reinforcing pins (9) for the arms, which can also be in one piece. The connections to the steering column can be via a metallic tube with a high degree of plastic deformation.</p> |
