The circuitry includes two switched image memories (1). One is used for writing in image information, while the other is simultaneously used for reading out to the video display. A circuit (2) analyses the video signal in the course of storage to calculate a time element (te) defined by the duration of the image (T) divided by the total number of points in the image. This number is weighted by a variable coefficient, varying according to a law increasing as a function of the level of video signal. A buffer memory (10)stores the value of the time element (te). The video output supplies the scanning circuit (8) which is also receiving the time element, to produce a point by point scan for each line, with a point duration equal to the time element weighted by the appropriate coefficient. Image of improved contrast are displayed, from normal TV signals or graphics information.
|
