The invention relates to a kit for sanitary unitised units which can be subsequently installed in existing rooms. The kit comprises prefabricated structural elements, that is to say a floor trough, wall elements and a ceiling shell which are fitted together in situ to form a sanitary unitised unit. The wall elements have joining elements, by means of which they can be connected to one another or by means of which they can be fastened, via joining profiles, on the walls of the existing room or on mounting profiles of an external cladding. In the case of the arrangement of the sanitary unitised unit in an existing room, a free-standing framework of connection profiles is first of all brought into the room with the mounting profiles, a gypsum-board cladding likewise being possible, and the wall elements are then finally mounted from inside. The mounting profiles are braced between ceiling and floor. It is also possible to fasten the connection profiles, via joining profiles, on the wall of the existing room and finally to mount the wall elements on the connection profiles from the inside.
