This invention concerns a self-supporting joist frame component of low weight, high sound insulation properties and good energy storage capability. The component consists of a ceiling component (10) and a floor joist frame component (11), which have surfaces facing each other, and which are separated from each other by airspace (12). Air conducting devices (18) can be fitted in the component to pass warm air through the channels formed in the airspace's longitudinal direction.
