PURPOSE:To make it possible to respond to various demands by providing a switching mechanism so that two kinds of turnabout (rotation) may be carried out. CONSTITUTION:A signature carrier section 12 for discharging signatures 15 in a horizontal direction and an accumulating section 20 for correcting the signatures 15 into a small bundle are arranged adjacently to a signature discharge section in the folding machine of a printing machine. A turnabout device 50 is positioned adjacently to a carrier conveyor 33 for transferring a small bundle of the signatures 40 from the signature accumulating section 20, and includes a rotary table 51, a push-up mechanism 52 for the rotary table 51, a rotating mechanism for the rotary table 51, a clutch mechanism for the rotating mechanism and a drive mechanism 55 for the rotating mechanism. The successive signatures which are turned about by the turnabout device 50 with their folded positions being alternately arranged, are transferred by a carrier conveyor 88 to another accumulating section for correcting the signatures into a large bundle. |
