PURPOSE:To measure the shifted strain at coupling part, by fixing one end of a strain gage to one member of male and female members constituting the couplings, fixing the other end of the strain gate to an attachment, fixing the attachment to the other member so that both fixing parts are located at the same level. CONSTITUTION:The upper end 62 of the strain gage 6 is welded to one of the male and female members 1 and 2, which form the couplings, e.g. to the male member 1, by using a holder 8. The lower end 61 of the strain gage 6 is fixed to the steel attachment 7 by using the holder 8. The upper side of the attanchment is welded to the female member 2. At this time, both fixing points are located at the same level. Therefore the strain due to vertical stress caused at the coupling part 5 is separated from the measured value of the strain, and only the shifted strain is measured. |
