PURPOSE:To improve impact resitance by changing the upward and downward motion of a float accompanying fluctuations of a liquid level into rotational motion through pulleys, and then reading its rotational angle optically. CONSTITUTION:A float 22 is fitted to a rope 24 wound around a pulley 25, and a weight 37 is fitted to a rope 38 wound around a pulley 35. A gear 26 coupled with the pulley 25 by a shaft 27 is engaged with a gear 34, which is coupled with the pulley 35 by a shaft 36. A drum 28 having a slit 29 is fitted to the shaft 27, and while a light emitting diode 30 is arranged in the drum 28, a drum 31 having a slit 32 is provided outside the drum 28. When a float 23 moves up and down according to the fluctuations of a liquid level, the weight moves up and down in the opposite directions through the pulley 25, gears 26 and 34, and pulley 35. Further, the drum 28 rotates according to the upward and downward movement of the float, and its rotational angle is read optically to detect the liquid level. |
