PURPOSE:To obtain a compact device, by providing a cylindrical positive lens for illuminating light flux convergence at the boundary between an incident light reflecting plane of a roof mirror and a frame relating to the illumination light source. CONSTITUTION:An image forming optical device shown in a symbol 10 for the whole is molded in one body by injection molding of resin using a metallic mold. A positive lens array 12 is formed at the inside of a frame 11 specifying the external appearance of the device 10, a mirror surface 13 for a plane mirror is formed at the back, and roof mirror surfaces 14 and 15 for roof mirrors with 45 deg. slope to the optical axis of the positive lens array 12 are formed in front of the positive lens array 12. Apertures 16 and 17 are formed respectively at a position opposing to the roof mirror surfaces 14 and 15 of the frame 11 and an illuminating light source 19 is located in a space 18 at the inside of the frame. Further, a cylindrical positive lens 20 is located at the boundary between the roof mirror surface 14 and the frame. |
