PURPOSE:To obtain the titled recording head capable of stable and correct flight of ink drops and quick drying of ink on the paper by a method wherein an air flow forming member which runs in the flight direction of liquid drops is provided and air flow is formed according to discharging motion of liquid drops. CONSTITUTION:The ink 5 supplied to the head part 200 of an ink jet passes through an ink path by capillary action etc. and fills the tip part 3 of the head. There is provided a cylindrical piezo element 1 on the outer circumference of this ink path and ink drops 7 are dscharged from an orifice 101 on the head tip according to electrical signal pulses applied to an electrode 6. The head part 200 is covered on its outside with a cylindrical pipe 201, the air flows into the space 206 inside said pipe through a filter 202 by reduction of the air pressure due to the compressed piezo element 1 and the air flows out of the space between a valve 204 and the head tip part 3 by increase of the air pressure due to the expanded piezo element 1 to form the air flow. |
