PURPOSE:To obtain the titled device which can close a nozzle and prevent ink from evaporating when it is not in motion by a method wherein a guide spindle provided with a carrier holding a print head is provided so that the print head may move to the side of a roller for the cap. CONSTITUTION:When printing ends, a carrier 25 advances to the left end and pushes a switch 35, a motor 16 starts and an eccentric bearing 12 begins rotating through a worm 17, a driven gear 15. The large diameter part 20 of a stopper plate 18 is fitted into the notch part 34 of the carrier 25 to lock the axial movement of the carrier 25. As the eccentric bearing continues rotating, the carrier 25 revolves about the center of a guide shaft 5 and the nozzle face 28 comes in contact with the roller 30 for the cap to close the opening of the nozzle face 28. |
