PURPOSE:To measure dew point, by collecting a sample gas in a vessel and absorbing moisture vapor with a moisture absorbing agent and measuring a pressure decrease after returning back to an original temp. CONSTITUTION:A sample gas is put into a vessel 1 from a stopcock 10. In a vessel 2, a proper gas is put and arranged to be in the same temp. and pressure as in the vessel 1. Stopcocks 9, 10 and 13 are closed and stopcocks 11 and 12 are shut off from the out side and a push bar is pushed in the state arranged so that both vessels 1, 2 are connected with a U shaped pipe differential pressure gauge 3, and a vessel for a moisture absorbing agent 4 is broken and a moisture absorbing agent is dropped and brought into contact with the sample gas. When moisture vapor is completely absorbed and temp. is returned back to the original temp., the pressure in the vessel 1 is measured. As a volume of the gas in the vessel 1 is decreased a little, the pressure of moisture vapor in the sample gas is measured by correcting it and calculating. A dew point is calculated from the pressure of moisture vapor. |
