PURPOSE:To prevent the wastefulness of the ink applied to a membrane member, in a non-impact type recording apparatus, by making the length of an ink applying member almost equal to the length of the ink holding part forming region of an ink holding member. CONSTITUTION:Ink 5 is applied to a film 3 being a membrane member composed of a metal or a heat resistant synthetic resin having a large number of fine perforations formed thereto as an ink holding part to fill the fine perforations 1 with the ink 5. When the fine perforations 1 reach the parts of the heat generating elements 9 arranged to a thermal head 7, voltage is applied to the heat generating elements 9 to instantaneously generate heat and the ink 5 allowed to fill the aforementioned fine perforations 1 is rapidly heated and ink droplets 11 are injected by the pressure of air bubbles generated to perform recording to recording paper as a member to be recorded. Ink rollers 202 as ink applying members contacting the under surface of the film 3 to apply the ink to the film 3 are provided on both sides of the thermal head 7 in a rotatable manner. The length of each of the ink rollers 202 is made almost equal to the fine perforation forming region J of the film 3 in the width direction. |
