The probe comprises a body of insulating material with a first rod protruding therefrom and forming one plate of a capacitor, and additional rods positioned in an open arrangement around said first rod and being interconnected with each other to form the other plate of the capacitor and to admit unhindered flowing of the material to be tested past said probe.</p>
