PURPOSE: A system and a method for managing a patent search of an intellectual property system are provided to enable a user not specialized for carrying out the patent search to easily obtain the necessary patent data without spending much time. CONSTITUTION: A user interface(201) receives the information inputted by the user and provides the patent data obtained by a patent search system(200) to the user. A user manager(203) manages the information including the keyword inputted by the user. A keyword editor(204) modifies and adds the keyword inputted by the user through the user interface. A data provider interface(202) sends the search information and request to a data provider and receives the patent data sent from the data provider. A database(210) stores various kinds of data and information used by the patent search system. A database manager stores the data and the information in the database, and provides the data and the information of the database to the user.
