Centrifuge which can be emptied hydraulically

In a centrifuge with internal control piston which closes or opens discharge openings arranged at the periphery, a pressure chamber which controls the movement of the said piston is arranged between the latter and a lower component of the centrifuge. The emptying of the pressure chamber is controlled by means of hydraulically actuable valves. The supply of control fluid into the pressure chamber takes place by means of a central bore which extends in the shaft bearing the centrifuge whilst the valves are fed with control fluid via an annular chamber which is arranged in the lower component of the centrifuge and is open in the direction of the shaft. This spatial separation of the feed of the control fluids which serve different functions permits clearly defined control processes without mutual influencing.
