A runner (Figure 1) for a drawer slide mechanism is elongate and has as its centre line a plurality of struck out tongues 2,3,4, of progressively increasing width whereby it may be secured to a supporting surface, and a bridge piece 5 struck out to one side of the centre line for the same purpose. The runner is intended to be mounted on a drawer, for use with the roller carriage of Figures 4-6 (not shown) and the cabinet runner of Figures 7-9 (not shown).
