PURPOSE:A continuous long strip of food product is cut with a screwcutter set on the side or skewed position at the horizontal angle to the screw-running direction. CONSTITUTION:A long, continuous soft rod of food product 1 such as extruded fish meat paste is sent with conveyor 2 in the direction A and a screwcutter 3 is set on the upper-side position of the conveyor 2 to cut the food rod in a certain length. The screwcutter has its cutting edge on the outer periphery of the same-diameter screw which is wound spirally around the shaft 3a and the direction of the shaft is fixed at a horizontal angle to the direction of the conveyor advancement. The advancing speed of the conveyor 2 is synchronized to the peripheral speed of the screwcutter 3 and the rotation direction of the cutter 3 is made the same one by which the food rod is cut down. Thus, as the conveyor advances, the cutter comes down from the side direction or three-quater one along the horizontal angle to cut the food rod 1 continuously. |
