PURPOSE:To obtain an electrochromic cell with high bonding strength at the seal-bonded part by piercing a plurality of fine holes in each of the parts of an electrode intersecting the part of substrate glass to be adhered with an adhesive and by directly adhering the adhesive to the exposed glass surface. CONSTITUTION:One transparent electrode substrate having a formed electrochromic coloring layer and the other transparent electrode substrate coated with an opposite electrode material are seal-bonded together with an adhesive, and the interior is dispersively filled with an electrolyte to obtain an electrochromic cell. In the seal-bonding method for each transparent electrode 1 to each substrate 3 to form a seal-bonded part 2, a plurality of fine holes 4 are pierced in parts of the electrode 1 to expose the substrate glass 3, and the adhesive 2 is directly adhered to the exposed glass 3 surface. Thus, the electrode 1 is firmly seal-bonded to the glass substrate 3. |
