摘要 <p>Vacuum system for the drying of ceramic mouldings by means of suction fans, by feeding drying air of between 50 to 180 DEG C to the material to be dried. In particular, the drying system is characterised in that a vacuum of at least 130 mm water column prevails in it. In optimum drying air, the air humidity is to be between 20 and 30 %, and furthermore a high air throughput must prevail in the drying system, that is to say the throughput of drying air must be at least 300 times the volume of the drying space. Such drying systems can be used both as chamber dryers and as channel dryers. The vacuum in the vacuum-drying system is generated by means of a simple constructive measure, in that the diameter of the suction pipe for the waste air is approximately 2 to 4 times the diameter of the intake pipe.</p>
