PURPOSE:To prevent local corrosion of an electrode pole by providing around the electrode pole a protective wall reserving a space between the wall and the pole, and positioning it between a container cover and the electrode pole and covering said space with a removable cover. CONSTITUTION:An electrode plate 3 is accommodated in a container, and an electrode pole 1 formed on the plate 3 is forced to pass through a container cover 2 to form a sealed lead-acid battery. At this time, a protective wall 5 having the same material as the pole is formed around said pole. This protective wall 5 is formed so as to provide space between the pole and the wall, and this space is covered with a removable cover 6. The plate 3 is positioned into an electrolyte 4. Said cover 6 is removed when the pole is monitored. |
