PURPOSE:To enhance illumination efficiency for a simple constitution, by arranging so that the normal of the light emitting surface of a solid light emitting element and the major axis of a reflector constituted of a quadric are approx. crossed in a right angle. CONSTITUTION:A reflector 40 having conics is a ellipticylinder with the focus O on the light emitting surface 20 and illuminated part. The reflector is positioned in a relation of being crossed approx. in a right angle in the major axis direction B-B' with the light emitting surface of individual solid LED in the normal direction A-A'. The ranges of upward flux of light in the normal direction A-A' and flux in the neighborhood among the flux of light emitted from the solid LED 10 are largest in brightness distribution with the flux in this range focused on the point O on the illuminated part by the reflection from the reflector. Thus, an illuminating device available for a good efficiency constitution is obtained without using a cylindrical lens. |
