DEPHOSPHORIZING AGENT FOR MOLTEN METAL AND ITS PRODUCTION

摘要

PURPOSE:To perform effective dephosphorization with powder of easy to handle grain sizes by using half calcined lime powder as a phosphorus immobilizing agent. CONSTITUTION:As a phosphorus immobilizing agent used together with O2 blowing for the purpose of dephosphorization of molten metal, CaCO3 is calcined to 3-27% residual CO2 concns., and is used in the form wherein a CaO part and a CaCO3 part exist. It is desirable to use CaCO3 by grinding the same beforehand to <=5mm.. It is also possible to allow CaO to react with CO2 so as to contain 3-27% CO2 concns. thereby forming a phosphorus immobilizing agent wherein the CaO part and the CaCO3 part exist in place of using the above- mentioned uncalcined CaCO3.
