PURPOSE:To obtain a proposed photoreceptor applicable to various electrophotographic copying processes and high in sensitivity, by using a photoconductive layer consisting of a pyrylium type dye, an electrically insulating polymer, and a low molecular weight photoconductor. CONSTITUTION:A photoconductive layer formed between the conductive substrate and the insulating layer of a laminate type photoreceptor consists of (A) 0.1-4% pyrylium type dye including selena-pyrylium and thia-pyrylium dye, such as 4-[4-bis-(2-chloroethyl)aminophenyl]-2,6-diphenylthiapyrylium perchlorate, (B) 50-90% electrically insulating polymer, such as polycarbonate, and (C) 10-50% low molecular weight photoconductor, such as 1,3-diphenyl-2-p-diethylaminophenyl-tetrahydroimidazole. |
