PURPOSE:To quickly achieve the program search of recording start position, by the constitution that the recording end position of a signal on a magnetic tape is detected, rewinding for a required amount is made and the recording is started after the magnetic tape is made run for a prescribed time. CONSTITUTION:When an operating button 7 for a joint recording at the recording end position is depressed, a magnetic tape 4 is wound on the outer circumference of a rotating head cylinder 5, which also turns, and the magnetic tape 4 runs toward the arrow B with the rotation of a capstan 2. The reproduction of a recording signal is made via a magnetic head 6, a recording control circuit 10 and a reproducing amplifier 11. If no recording signal is detected at a signal detecting circuit 12, after a capstan control circuit 9 rewinds the magnetic tape 4 for a prescribed amount via a capstan drive circuit 8, the magnetic tape 4 runs toward the arrow B, and the recording is started with the recording control circuit 10. Thus, the program search of the recording start position can quickly be made. |
