PURPOSE:To simplify the construction by forming a fluid pressure thrust bearing, between the input and output shafts of a rotary type power steering device, using the pressure fluid which has finished its work in the rotary control valve and thereby eliminating necessity for use of any mechanical bearings. CONSTITUTION:The input 1 and output 2 shafts are installed in such a way as rotatable with respect to each other by pinching pins 20, 21 projecting from each shaft with a C-shaped spring 22. A recess 23 is formed on the axis side of input shaft 1 except the periphery of the major diameter part 1a, and the space E formed by this recess 23 is fed with the pressure fluid used in the control valve. The oil pressure fed in such a way acts on the recess 23 to bear the thrust force at the input shaft 1. Thus touch of the input shaft 1 with the end face of the output shaft 2 at the time of steering can be prevented. |
