The ladder arrangement consists of a low fixed ladder part (7) fastened to one wall (5) of the access passage (2), of a movable ladder part (10) which is attached to a fixed ladder by means of a sliding guide and is higher than the internal height of the chamber (1), and of interacting means for selectively locking the movable ladder part in the retracted position in such a way that it can be released.
