Carton insert to protect cylindrical perfume bottle - has blank folded for insertion, with ends spread to receive cylinder and wedge inside

The insert for a cube shaped carton is made from a single flat blank which is folded then erected after insertion, to receive a cylindrical fragile perfume bottle (26) which it protects from shock. The blank is symmetrical, with a central fold line (2), and an extension (26) to form the lid of the container, after erection. Each side of the fold line has a rectangular part with an elongated D-shaped opening (5) in each, both terminating in a fork (21,22,23,24), each arm of the form being formed by a rectangle. After folding along the central fold line, the blank can be inserted to rest on the bottom. The two forked parts are folded outwards to wedge against the interior. The two curved ends of the D-shaped openings receive and locate the cylinder.
