PURPOSE:To make it possible to input a desired letter in a very simple operation by forming addition setting and subtraction setting signals by means of rotating a winding crown. CONSTITUTION:A switch S1 is interconnected to a winding crown to be opened or closed. When the winding crown is turned to the right, addition setting signal UP is output from a setting signal generating circuit 16, and when the winding crown is turned to the left subtraction setting signal DN is output from the circuit 16. Of a plurality of shift resistors that constitute a letter memory circuit 10 by means of UP or DN, the first step resistor 31 is up-counted or down-counted, a desired letter code is selected to be set in the resistors 31. Next, by operating a switch S3, the content of the resistor 31 is shifted successively to the subsequent steps 32-34 and held in memory. In this very simple operation a desired letter can be input. |
